NIT’s Key Role in Pakistan Engineering Congress World Sustainable Transport Day 2025
-The National Institute of Transportation (NIT), NUST proudly participated in the World Sustainable Transport Day 2025, organized by Pakistan Engineering Congress, on 29 November 2025 in Lahore. The event, themed “Driving Change, Delivering Solutions,” highlighted sustainable transport innovations and challenges in Pakistan and emerging economies.
NIT made a significant contribution by being involved in 3 out of 9 presentations. The papers presented to which the NIT faculty and/or students contributed include:
- Analyzing Key Factors Influencing Public Transport Usage in Emerging Economies Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Approach (Dr. Izza Anwer, Mr. Mudassir Ahmad, Numan Ahmad, Mr. Muhammad Irfan Yousaf)

These contributions underscore NIT’s leading role in advancing research and solutions for sustainable transportation in Pakistan.
