The RTMC brought together transport ministers, policy makers, technical experts, and global development partners from over 10 countries across the region. Dr. Numan underscored potential safety improvements from his four recent papers on national transportation challenges, all accepted for presentation at the 2026 TRB Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., helping bring much-needed representation of Pakistan and other underserved regions to the international transportation community.

As part of the panel, Dr. Numan shared insights grounded in a strong research portfolio that includes 50+ publications, comprising impact factor journal articles and 27 peer-reviewed papers presented at the prestigious Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meetings organized by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in Washington, D.C., United States.

NIT congratulates Dr. Numan and Dr. Inam on their significant recognition and contribution to advancing road safety and sustainable transport policy in the region.
